Hola everyone. It's been a long time that I'd never updated the blog. Anyway, just to share with everyone this new favourite past-time for me. Well, I started to read books recently. The first book I read is this book called "Escape Camp 14" by Blaine Harden. I realized how hard life is it inside North Korea.
North Korea has always been one of the most mysterious country list. I been wondering what does the people actually do over there and how do even look like and how they lived.
Shin Dong-Hyuk made a remarkable history in North Korea regime by escaping from the brutal labour camps in North Korea. Eventually Shin is the first person to escape from labour camps in North Korea. He made of a lot confessions and expose to the world about the life in North Korea's labour. I went deep into about the life of North Korean in the labour camps. Information are scarce, just like their food demand are scarce. I'm surprised even the electric in North Korea are scarce. People are living in poverty outside the rural area from Pyongyang. I'm not sure how true this is, as Shin can probably be not testifying the truth about the life in Pyongyang. Can this actually be true or fake just for the sake of earning money from the journalist who are in high enthusiast about North Korea.
Shin parents were killed in the labour camp while he managed to escape from the camp; specifically called Camp 14 in North Korea. His life was terrible that I can't even imagine how does it actually could survive away from the harsh environment and under the dictatorship of the late Kim-il Sung. This book explain a lot on how Shin plan his escape from camp 14 and also how he plan his escape from North Korea all the way to China and seek asylum in Seoul, South Korea.
